Q: What are the main reasons for the water ripple on the air-bonded screen module?
A: The phenomenon of water ripples is also related to the structural design and the panel material of the display itself. The following is mainly analyzed from two aspects:

1)Structural: No matter TN panel or IPS panel, as long as the surface touch screen is pressed in the design of the structure, the backlight part of the back display screen is pressed by the external force of the casing to cause deformation, which will cause water ripple. Therefore, when designing the structure, it is necessary to avoid the backlight part of the display screen as much as possible, so that it is not squeezed by external force, or it is forced to be evenly distributed over the entire surface;

2)Panel material: If the capacitive screen module adopts the display withTN panel, the strength of the tempered glass(cover lens) should be sufficient, otherwise the surface pressing will cause water ripple when the deformation contacts the glass of the display panel; If it is the IPS panel display, only the backlight part on the back of the display screen should not be locally squeezed by external force and no water ripple will occur;

Q: What are the reasons for the water ripple generated by optical bonding capacitive touch screen module?  

 A: Generally, we recommend that the optical bonding display panel material should use IPS. If it is TN panel, it will produce water ripple. Only when the product housing structure and capacitive screen structure are designed completely in accordance with our requirements, this issue will be avoided. However if it is IPS panel, the water ripple is generally generated mainly because the backlight portion of the display screen is partially squeezed from the case, so it is necessary to confirm the design requirements with our technicians during structural design;
